Weekly Website Wednesday: What Bird Did That?

What Bird Did That: The Art of Ornithological Dejecta is a wing of the Museum of Non-Primate Art. Specifically, it deals with the art and culture of bird poop.

It turns out that the structure and artistry of bird poop art pieces varies wildly from bird species to bird species. It’s a whole art style that we humans have ignored!

This is all very serious and not a joke at all.

Weekly Website Wednesday: Marc Giai-Miniet

Marc Giai-Miniet is a French guy who makes creepy art. I especially like his spooky dioramas. A lot of his work seems to explore how we ignore the horrors of everyday life while obsessing over the mundane.

I’d like to tell you more about him, but my french is really rusty.

Some of his work is a little gory, so NSFW and whatnot.

Weekly Website Wednesday: Folk Funeria

This weeks website is Folk Funeraria, which features grave decorations from the American South, many of which are homemade. Yeah, I think that the space and resources taken up by graveyards would be better used for public parks -ask me sometime about my objections to the fact that the greenest places in Tucson are the graveyards- but I still find memorial art to be very interesting.
