Weekly Website Wednesday: The Lost Media Wiki

The Lost Media Wiki is a wiki that compiles what information that can be found about the existence of various media that have disappeared off the face of the planet.

It’s a useful resource to confirm that weird things from your youth, that only you remember, did, in fact, exist. I was really happy to learn that a cartoon from when I was little, The Bush Baby, actually existed and wasn’t just a fever dream. But then I was sad that there is no trace of the English dub to be found anywhere. Not even a clip.

If you want to help them out, check out what exists on old VHS tapes and magazines and such in your basement.

Weekly Website Wednesday: The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages

I’ve been playing Skyrim a lot lately, so I’ve been visiting The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages so that I can actually understand what is going on.

The Elder Scrolls series actually has a huge amount of lore. It’s a real shame that they’ve been focusing on the generic fantasy aspects of it lately.

Weekly Website Wednesday: Jheronimus Bosch, the Garden of Earthly Delights Interactive Documentary

Hieronymus Bosch was a crazy Dutch painter, who painted crazy Dutch things. Of particular interest is his triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights. Some modern-day crazy Dutch people made an interactive tour of the triptych. It is very interesting and crazy. Go look at it.

Weekly Website Wednesday: Jeffrey Ventrella

jeffrey ventrella link picture Jeffrey Ventrella is a programmer. He worked on Darwin Pond and its later iteration GenePool, which are simulation games where little segmented critters compete and evolve in a little pool of water. In High School, I was obsessed with trying to figure out how to build the best swimmer in Darwin pond.

He also has other neat games, apps and information about fractals on his website.
